15:1-2 Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, through which also you are being saved.

(Cod. Vat. Gr. 762)

(Cod. Pantokrator. 28)

He very appropriately and wisely uses the term good news to refer to the proclamation of the resurrection from the dead and the proclamation of Christ himself more generally. It is, after all, an announcement of every good thing for those who have accepted the faith. He says that in it they stand and are being saved. “Standing” means that believers have a steadfast hope and right doctrine. “Being saved” means that they are found to be stronger than sin itself and they have escaped the snares of death.
